Keeping Sam Goldman in the chancellor's office for the next two years is a step in the right direction. The university is under the microscope for reaccreditation this year, and the last thing we need is a fiasco involving a disappearing chancellor who "didn't do his job.
Hollywood's string of comic book adaptations has netted billions of dollars for studios such as Warner Brothers and Paramount. Carbondale comic book shops have noted a jump in sales. "When Hollywood delivers a good product, my sales will rise," said Dennis McCord, who opened Campus Comics in Carbondale more than 25 years ago.
